Every Mermaid Paint Palette is handmade using real sand, shells, and colored resin. Set in Ecopoxy: a plant-based, bio-based, completely non-toxic and sustainably made epoxy “resin”, this earth conscious product is sure to aid your inspiration with any medium used.
Our inspiration came from the shores of the Chesapeake. Like you picked up a piece of the beach!
Tested with acrylic paint, once the paint dries it can be peeled off the palette for an easy clean. Tested with watercolors, easily washes off. Some high saturated pigments may stain the shells: blue, red, ect. Material has slight give to absorb any impact if dropped. This is an an extremely crack resistant product.
**Keep away from heat.** It is not flammable but those conditions can make the resin malleable.
